Oluwo paints Iwo roadside houses

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has commenced the painting of roadside houses to beautify the town.

Akanbi, on Tuesday, said the house painting was aimed at projecting Iwo for appeal and greater development.

The idea, the monarch further stressed, was initiated to make the town more attractive, establish uniformity and encourage cleanliness and hygiene among the inhabitants.

He appealed to Iwo sons and daughters in diaspora to promote the idea of hygiene and beautification, saying it would be a good precedent for other cities in Nigeria and Africa to follow.

He said, “I ask the residents of Iwo to embrace innovations capable of repositioning our town for positive reference.”
