Ebonyi state shuts all government offices, as cabinet members test positive to Covid-19

Ebonyi state governor, David Umahi, has directed that all government offices should be shut immediately to pave way for decontamination of the office. He said
this is imperative following the contraction of COVID19 by some Executive Council members.

He expressed concern over the growing case of Coronavirus in the state. 75 positive cases out of 3,000 samples that have been tested.

The governor did not reveal the names of those infected, but said "this is disturbing,"

He said the cabinet members are stable and receiving treatment at the moment.

The governor directed, the offices will be shut from June 4 Wednesday to June 10 to allow the decontamination process.

"All civil servant are expected to walk from their homes, but leave their phone lines open for easy reach.
